The last ride, the last meal, the last goodbye...

Hello everyone,

I am currently back in Singapore and I am more or less settled down.
Although I find that my live is too quiet without them...
Yes them,my 'family', my friends, those that group of people whom I never thought I would grew so close to.

I guess this is a perfect ending to the trip in China.
The university in China actually arrange a bus to send us (Singapore students) to the airport.
However, our dear Koreans friends decided to hail a cab and send both Alvin and I off for a probably 1 last time in China.

I could have swore that the atmosphere in the air was seriously tense that day, no one said anything but everyone know it's just weird...
There's nothing happy about it, we have grew so fond to the presence of one another for the past 3 months and now we are leaving....

I actually cried in my own room before leaving because I do not want to cry in front of them lest I dampen the atmosphere.

Fast forward, we went out to the school gate and hail a cab.
The ones with me will be SeonKyu,Hyunah & Hyerim.

So that's pretty much for the last ride.....

Upon reaching the airport, Alvin and I went ahead to check-in our luggage and we went to pizza hut for a group lunch with the koreans.

With this meal, Pizza Hut will never taste the same...
The last meal seems to be alright as the atmosphere was not tense at all.....
Was everyone feigning their hapiness, well at least I know I am not, as I cherish this one last meal together.....

After the meal, it's just non-stop photography session, hahahahha.....

If I were given the choice to have a superpower, it will definitely be either having the ability to stop the time or reverse the time.....

It eventually ended of with us hugging one another and tears just start rolling down my cheeks, uncontrollably....

If I were to choose again, I will still go for this trip.....

Apart from the precious bonds forged, learning experiences gained and many more, I believe I have grown and mature as a person.....

Thank you BeiJing, thank you Singapore Polytechnic for this once in a lifetime experience.....

Le Familia (The Family)

Hello peeps,

If there's one thing that I am reluctantly letting go while leaving Beijing next week, it will be the 'family' members that I have made here.
7 of us, each and everyone of us have our own unique personality, each of our flaws are being complimented by the strengths of the others.

This group 'Family' is made up of 7 members....

The 7 members (Includes 2 Singaporeans & 5 Koreans) always have endless laughter and fun while we are together.,,
I am typing this blog post while shedding tears and smiling as there's just too much precious memories that we have created.

Speaking of memories...
We have a chance to create one last memory together with all 7 of us present for a trip, one last trip.
It didn't matter where are we going, or is the place fun...
Because it ain't about the place now, it is about the people you are with.

Nonetheless, we have decided to go to 'Summer Palace', HAHA, going Summer Palace in the winter sounds ironic.
I am truly grateful for this outing and all the precious photos that we have taken.

I have no idea why I love the pictures above so much, in particular, the one where I seems to be scolded...haha....i forget why are they pointing at me.....

Often times, you have no idea that the strangers you once met will become such close friends with you...
I will never forget the times where we are teaching each other Chinese & Hangul...

Adios Le Familia, although we are connected through the social media....
But I strongly believe that we will meet again....in real life....

The best decision i have made in Beijing II

Hello to anyone that is out there reading this,

Firstly, I would like to sincerely apologize for not making a blog entry for such a long time due to various reasons that may be revealed in my upcoming blog entry.

So back to this week blog entry, the last time we end it off at the aquarium.
Isn't it funny?
The last time i look through the pictures (2-3 weeks) i was feeling relaxed and happy, but now i feel sad looking at the pictures as the journey in Beijing is coming to an end.

Nonetheless, I should focus on this week blog entry, in the aquarium there are an abundance of marine species in it.

Words can do no justice to the majestic and magnificient aquarium.....
Therefore, I will be posting a lot of pictures.

There's one particular event that etched deeply in my mind and that will be YanHao being a nanny to the fish as he feed them.

In the aquarium, I have bought a 'new friend' too.
He will be here to accompany for the rest of the days in Beijing.

After tonight, it will be 11 days till i am back in Singapore....
I miss my friends here....my new family.....

The best decision I have made in Beijing

Welcome back to my journey experiences in Beijing,

In life, we often made certain decisions that we enjoy/regret , nonetheless, these decisions are just part of your journey in life.

Nope, today blog post is not about any major decision in life,it is just a decision that I have made & I enjoy it to the max.

From my school(BTBU) I can always see a tall tower not far away from the school, it is called the CCTV Tower (CCTV is one of the TV channel in China).
Initially, I just wanted to visit the tower as it allows you to get transported to 231.8m above the ground and you can look at the overview of Beijimg.

Just like most other days, A few of us decided to visit the tower and after walking for 15 minutes (15 arduous minutes because the weather is very cold), we arrived at the ticketing office.

It cost 70 rmb to go up to the CCTV tower.
Just then, something called my eyes......
229 rmb tour package, which includes the dining experience in the revolving restaurant buffet follow by the visit to the top of the tower, last but not least, you can go to the aquarium too.

It's a no-brainer that this is indeed a very attractive package, thus, we are all for it.

I can spend hours and hours on sharing this experience with you, but I will try to summarize it as much as I could.

Let's begin with the revolving buffet restaurant (225.1m above the ground)
In the restaurant, there are tons of different countries cuisine as it is akin to a international buffet.
Here are some of the food pictures that I manage to snap.

I truly hope you are not drooling over these pictures of food, as that is not the main focus in this restaurant, previously mentioned, this restaurant is 225.1m above the ground.

Just imagine this, your table will revolve around the restaurant bringing you to different parts of the restaurant, you do not have to walk to the far end of the other restaurant to get a particular food as you will be revolved to the position.

Let us move on to the next attraction visit, the top of the CCTV tower.
I WOULD LIKE TO STRONGLY EMPHASIZE ON 2 POINTS.

1.WE ARE AT 231.8M ABOVE THE GROUND
2.ON THE DAY WE TRAVEL TO THIS TOWER,BEIJING CHINA ACTUALLY SNOWED ON EARLY NOVEMBER

WHICH IS WHY......
AT THE TOP OF THE TOWER, THE COLD WEATHER WILL SEND CHILL DOWN YOUR SPINE.
NONETHELESS,WE MANAGED TO SNAP SOME PICTURES BEFORE WE LEAVE.

Here comes the best part, the aquarium visit......
Stay tune to the next blog post for more information about it.

A day off the hectic lifestyle

Hello people,

Welcome back to today blog entry, I believe today blog entry will be highly related to many of you.
In a fast-paced society, where each day just simply flashed past us without us realizing.
To the extent that you realize that you are often tired even if you have more than 8 hours of sleep.
Why is that so???

The reason is simple, you are mentally drained, physically sound.
Since our body is just a machine to do the work our brain instructed it to do, when the brain is tired, our body will naturally feel tired at all times.

So what are some of the ways we can rest our mental, our soul?
Basically, it is to conduct in events that you enjoy.
Be it cycling along the road, hiking on the mountain, walking by the beach, just do things that will calm and soothe you down.

It has been 2 months since I am in China and I have adapted to the lifestyle here.
However, I recently realized that I am tired even though the school workload here in China is lesser than Singapore and I often have sufficient sleep but I will still feel tired.

Then, it dawned on me that I have not got the chance to calm my soul down for quite a period of time.

Which is why, this week, I will be introducing you guys to a art district in China called 798 art district where it is a decommisioned factory for around 50 years.
A lot of art gallery and interesting statues are placed there.

The moment I reached the 798 art district, the aura and atmosphere in the air can instantly be felt, where my soul start to get soothe.

For this trip, I went with Alvin, and both of us definitely got immersed in the art and we are mentally refreshed again.

Apart from enjoying the art from indoor, Alvin and I definitrly have fun doing it outdoor too.

Due to the fact winter is coming, the sky turned pitch dark as early as 6pm.
Which is quite regretful as there are still many areas left to be explored.

To counter the winter cold, Alvin and I had lamb for our dinner.
It taste wonderful.....

I guess after spending a whole afternoon here, we got infected by the artisry feel where our visit does not end here.

We patronize a cafe and enjoy the artwork there.

This trip is definitely soul-rewarding.

I urge everyone of you to conduct activities that are beneficial for your mental health so as to feel more energetic and have better performance in our daily life.
